The first store I went to this morning didn't have the Bayer Contour, so I had to add some items to get my total up to $30 so I could use my $5 off $30 purchase coupon. At the first store I got:
  • 3 Nivea for men shave creams, $2.99 each = $9
  • 2 Schick Quattro for Women razors, $8.99 each with two $4 newspaper coupons and $4 ECBs each = $1 each
  • 1 Bayer Crystal 4-pack, $2 with one $1 tearpad coupon and $2 ECBs = profit of $1
  • 2 newspapers
This purchase came out to a net cost of $8.15. Then I looked at my receipt and saw that I still needed another $4 spent to get the $5 ECBs for Nivea, and I had a CVS feminine products coupon, so I went back in and got:
  • 1 Nivea for men moisturizer, $5.99 with $5 ECBs for buying $15 in Nivea = $1
  • 1 CVS pantiliners, $0.99 with $1.50 CRT = profit of $0.50
This net cost was only $0.50. Then we drove to a second CVS to get the Bayer Contour:
  • 1 Bayer Contour blood glucose monitor, $14.99 with a free item newspaper coupon and $5 ECBS = profit of $5
All three purchases came out to a total cost of $3.65! Not bad for what we got (barely more than the cost of the newspapers). I'll sell the razors on eBay to make up for what we spent. I sold the ROC eye cream that I bought last week and made up the cost of the face cleansers plus some. Woohoo!
