CVS, Week of 11-29

I was surprised to see items on sale that I wanted so close after Black Friday! I have a lot of ECBs to spend, so I stocked up a bit. I bought:

  • 2 Gillette for Men deodorants, $5.49 each with one $2 off 2 newspaper coupon, 2 Gillette for Men body washes, $4.99 each with two “Buy a deodorant, get a free body wash” newspaper coupons, and two Gillette for Men shaving gels, $2.83 each, with two $1 P&G mailer coupons, and $10 ECBs for buying $25 in Gillette products = $2.64 total
  • 4 Swiffer dry cloth refills, $4 each, with two $0.50 P&G mailer coupons and $5 ECBs for buying $15 in select products = $10
  • 2 Accu-chek Aviva blood glucose monitors, $14.99 each with two $10 newspaper coupons and $5 ECBs each = free
  • 1 Oral-B Zooth kid’s toothbrush, $2.49 with one $1 newspaper coupon and $2 ECBs = profit of $0.50
  • 2 newspapers
  • 1 $5 off a $30 CVS online coupon (for filling out the Medicare quiz)

Net cost: $11.13. Pretty good, I’d say! We always seem to have plenty of women’s body washes, but not enough men’s, so this will add to our stock for hubby. I don’t use a Swiffer mop, but ever since they stopped making the dry Pledge wipes (and when did that happen?) and I can’t find any dry dusting cloths at all, I use these to dust with around the house. Looks like I’ll be set for a while!
